The Common Home was born out of the work of The Spero Project, a local non profit providing tangible assistance and meaningful relationships to the resettled refugee community of Oklahoma City. After a decade of working in the community, Spero identified the reality that our newly arriving neighbors entering into Oklahoma City could benefit greatly from a therapy space that is specifically educated in and minded towards the nuanced aspects of cultural diversity and inclusion. The Common Home is just that – a place where indigenous culture is not only recognized but honored in the approach and incorporation of trauma informed care.
